As the agency of record for The Camarillo Hotel & Tourism Association, the direct marketing organization of Camarillo, California, we create fully integrated, multi-tier marketing campaigns that have increased overall visitation and hotel occupancy rates for the city. We began by rebuilding their brand, showcasing the uniqueness and variety of activities available in this Central Coast destination. Mostly known as an agricultural hub, we had to overcome the challenges associated with competing against large-scale cities.
The multi-year campaign featured traditional marketing efforts along with innovative digital advertising for local, regional, national and international audiences. A new logo and collateral assets were also created to match the new brand and attitudinal approach. Our creative team included innovative digital media, social media marketing and traditional print outlets that dramatically boosted site visitations and generated increased brand awareness.
Our new marketing and branding campaign focused on inviting visitors to "Come For The Sun. Stay For The Fun." through the "Pin It to Live It" campaign. A multi-colored, eye-catching pinwheel was introduced as the physical representation of the logo to deliver the campaign's message and overall brand. The pinwheel's custom design featured vibrant colors that surround the pinwheel's flaps and give visitors a chance to reminisce on their fondest childhood memories. Sports, shopping, agriculture, and historical venues were illustrated on the pinwheel as they offer visitors a glimpse into the mix of rural and urban lifestyles unique to Camarillo.
